Inherit the Wind
Debuting at the National Theatre April 21, 1955, Inherit the Wind enjoyed a two year production run and totaled over 800 performances. Inherit the Wind earned four 1956 Tony Award nominations winning three. Paul Muni won Best Actor in a Play, Ed Begley won Best Featured Actor in a Play, Peter Larkin won Best Scenic Design, and Herman Shumlin earned a nomination for Best Director.
