Waldorf Astoria
"Salute to American Musical Theater" was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria. The gala diner and dance honored outstanding American composers, lyricists and librettists. The Manhattan School of Music sponsored the tribute as a benefit for the School. Stanley Green and Roger Englander wrote and produced a musical production tracing the historical development of American musical theatre.
