NetLibrary offers over 1800
eAudiobooks which can be downloaded and played on your home or office
computer, or tranferred to a MP3 player. In addition, NetLibrary
has over 27,000 eBooks, which includes books, pamphlets, study guides
and articles for you to read online. The Chattahoochee Valley Regional
Library System subscribes to NetLibrary to provide
you, our customer, with this valuable service for free!

Download
a List of Tested MP3 Players
Create an Account
Before downloading e-Audiobooks for the first time, you must
create an account using a library computer inside any of
our nine library
branch locations. Once you have an account, you can download
e-audiobooks from home, your office or most computers with Internet
connections.
Follow the instructions below. If you need
assistance creating an account or downloading eAudiobooks, please
call 706-243-2687.
| 1. | On the NetLibrary home page, click Create a Free Account in the top right-hand corner |
| 2. | Fill out the Registration Form |
| Note: Passwords must be at least six characters long. The usernames and passwords are not tied to your library card account. You can use whatever username or password you like. | |
| 3. | Click Create Account. You're done! |
| Now that you have an account, you can log in from home or from most computers connected to the Internet. Just return to this page and click on NetLibrary. Once you are on the NetLibrary homepage, enter your Log In. The Log In link is in the upper left-hand corner of the NetLibrary homepage. |
Search for and Download eAudiobooks:
| 1. | Go to NetLibrary and Log In |
| 2. | A Basic Search box is displayed prominently on the opening page. Below is the Advanced Search option. On the right side of the page you can choose Browse by Subject. |
| 3. | Choose a title and click Download this eAudiobook. |
| 4. | Select a download quality:
CD Quality (for high speed connections) will allow transfer to a PC or to a portable device. Radio quality (for dial-up connections) will allow transfer to a computer only. |
| 5. | Click Check Out and Download |
| Note: You will be asked if you want to Open or Save the eAudiobook file. Some people like to create a folder where they Save their eAudiobook downloads. If you choose to Open the file, it is automatically saved in a temporary folder. | |
| 6. | Click Open when the download is complete. On most computers, Windows Media Player 9 will open and start playing the audiobook. |
| 7. | It is easy to open and play the eAudiobook from your saved files. Navigate to where it is saved. Double-click the eAudiobook. Windows Media Player 9 will open the eAudiobook and begin to play. |
| Note: The first time you play the eAudiobook you will be directed to Log In to NetLibrary to access the license for the item. To do this, your computer must be connected to the Internet. |
Transferring the Audiobook to the MP3 player:
| 1 | Open the eAudiobook (see # 5 above) |
| 2. | Pause or stop the eAudiobook |
| 3. | Look for the Media Player tab for Copy or Sync to Device or CD and click on that. Make sure the title of the audiobook is highlighted and then click on the Sync or Copy button. . |
| Note: Transfer to your MP3 player should begin. If you are using the software that came with your MP3 player instead of Windows Media Player, follow the instructions for your specific device |
Renew an eAudiobook:
| 1. | Go to the NetLibrary homepage |
| 2. | Log In |
| 3. | Click Checked Out Items in the upper right corner |
| 4. | Click Download This Audiobook beneath the item you want to renew |
| 5. | Click Renew Your Checkout for 21 Days |
