The Muscogee County Library Foundation (a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization) engages in annual fundraising and major gifts programs in order to build rich, fexible, long-term relationships between donors and the public.

The Foundation is playing a huge role in our library's pursuit to become the best public library in America. To reach that goal, our library must be successful in reaching high standards in five vital benchmarks of public library service. According to the standardized, national measures, the five areas are:

  - Access and outreach
  - Materials, programs and services
  - Expertise
  - Innovation
  - Accountability

Foundation support allows ...
Through the generous support of our donors, the Foundation is able to fund a vast array of projects including:
  - Collections: Significantly enlarging the materials collection - increasing circulation and visits to the library.
  - Technology: Digitizing unique materials in the library's local history collection and doubling the number of computers available to the public - improving accessibility to users.
  - Volunteer services: Establishing a library volunteer program that increases outreach, particularly with children's programs - expanding services.
  - Family literacy: Developing initiatives to encourage the use of the library by families - contributing to the citywide effort to increase reading readiness.
  - Genealogy/Local History: Enhancing services by increasing available materials - bringing us closer to the goal of the Genealogy Department as a destination site that draws people from all across the country - economic development at its finest!
We will continue to make our library the best in America

your help!
